It all depends on each organization’s needs. Some are looking for short-term consulting or coaching while others need long-term administrative support. We’ve had some clients for many years, some for a few years, and others for a few months as they were interim positions or needed someone in-house. For clients who are looking for long-term support, we’re in it for the long haul and look forward to building close relationships with those clients.
We work with organizations in a variety of sectors. Past and current clients have included nonprofits in the arts, the environment, mental health, education, and more.
We work with organizations of all sizes, as everyone has their own needs. A small organization might need admin support if they don’t have a staff or only have an ED while a larger organization might need administrative or coaching help as it grows.
The Nonprofit Ops Pro team takes a collaborative approach to every client, so one or all of us might be handling various aspects of the work. We keep in constant contact about tasks both internally and with you so everyone is on the same page. That being said, Darcy is your point of contact.
It’s whatever it needs to be. We’re available to respond to urgent issues but otherwise we set deadlines with you and return results before that time. We’re fully invested in your organization and want it to succeed as much as you do.
We love working with nonprofits who are a great fit for our mission and values, who come from a place of mutual respect and teamwork, and who feel comfortable working with a remote team. We spend time learning about your mission, leadership, board, activities, etc. but once we have that synchronicity, we are all one team working together to further your mission.
That’s totally okay. If you’re really worried about this then working with a remote team might not be the right fit but it’s understandable it might feel a little strange at first. We’re a professional, registered company with insurance and as many references as you’d care to check. We have a contract that both parties sign outlining confidentiality, payment terms, scope of work, etc. and we take the trust that is placed in us seriously not only to keep information secure but also to represent your organization in a manner that reflects well on us and most importantly, on the organization.
We have several procedures in place including always using an organizational email, rather than our own, to send and receive email, storing all documents in whatever cloud storage system the organization has setup, ensuring multiple people in the organization have access to all logins and cloud storage, and documenting all processes. We share information and/or train anyone in the organization on the processes as needed. If the contract ends, we ensure the organization has all the data and systems information required including switching any logins or 2FA and assisting with transition if requested. It’s our policy to setup logins and related information to the organizational email/username so the handoff in most situations is minimal.
